Yoga Teacher Training Scholarship

We are currently accepting Scholarship Applications for our Spring 2024 session.

We are so honored that you are considering teacher training with our team. It is our desire to use this scholarship program to provide opportunities to help foster and diversify an even more inclusive community.

Our scholarship program has been in place since Fall 2020 and so far we've welcomed 11 graduates since it's launch!

What we're looking for in a scholarship applicant: 

YoBa Studio is desiring to increase the racial diversity of our teaching community by inviting all People of Colour (non-white people) to apply. We are looking for individuals who are ready to take advantage of the opportunity to grow deeper into their practice, while learning the fundamentals of yoga and complete the training with the confidence to move forward in a teaching capacity. 

The goal of giving out this scholarship is to offer a space where the studio and community can be enriched by learning and growing alongside with this individual and their voice. Scholarships vary in covering costs (can be up to 75%) of the tuition for the YoBa Studio Yoga Teacher Training program.

For our scholarship opportunity, we prefer that applicants should be:

  • Consistently practicing yoga for over 1 year
  • Committed to 95% attendance during YTT course
  • Able to provide a Letter Of Reference attached with reference's contact information list
  • $300 deposit non refundable deposit upon acceptance of scholarship
  • Must fill out our Yoga Teacher Training application in addition to the scholarship application (for a total of 2 applications)

Items to note:

Please make sure you've visited our Teacher Training page with all the information about our YTT program, including dates. Scholarships are currently offered on a partial or full basis, based on the scholarship fund and applicants accepted into training. Scholarships awarded cover the % awarded of the cost of the training (minus $300 deposit paid by applicant upon scholarship acceptance) but do not cover the cost of materials needed for course (such as book purchases, mat, writing utensils journal etc.)

Once awarded, applicant will have 7 days to accept scholarship before we will offer to next applicant.
